Charlotte is an active grandmother from Minnesota. She was diagnosed with stage 2 lymphedema in the right leg after treatment for ovarian cancer. Lymphedema caused significant functional disability such as difficulty getting up off the floor after playing with her grandchildren. Prior to seeing Dr. Granzow, Charlotte had VLNT and LVA surgeries elsewhere but experienced little improvement from those surgeries. After Granzow SAPLSM surgery with Dr. Granzow, Charlotte is happy that her swelling and pain decreased significantly. She is enjoying spending more time with grandchildren and family and fitting normal clothes.

I had never heard of it, nor was I warned it might happen. My leg was incredibly heavy – at the time of my surgery I was carrying 15 extra pounds in my right leg. Now I feel much more balanced – I don’t tire as easily and my self-image has grown tremendously. I’m able to now ride a bike again – in fact last year at age 73 I bought a new one. I have recommended the surgery to many people and won’t hesitate to continue.”
