Bilateral breast reconstructions with DIEP flaps
Mia is a breast cancer survivor who lives in California and works for a major film studio that produces animated movies. She developed stage 1 lymphedema in her left arm after a mastectomy, chemotherapy, axillary lymph nodes dissection and radiation therapy. In 2016, Dr. Granzow performed bilateral DIEP breast reconstructions with VLNT surgery to the left axilla. After these surgeries, Mia was happy that her lymphedema symptoms and swelling significantly improved.
